Hiring Our Facilities

We hire out our facilities for a number of events and groups. Our grade II listed building makes an attractive venue for a variety of activities which are in keeping with our values of community, compassion, creativity and contemplation.

 Past and current usage has included:
· Yoga groups
· Meditation groups
· Art classes
· Writing groups
· Music rehearsals
· Craft events
· Photography and art exhibitions
· Smaller corporate and community meetings

Our building does not lend itself to celebration/children’s parties and we do not hold a license for the selling of alcohol or for some forms of entertainment such as dancing or watching films.

Our usual rate is £8.00 an hour but we may be able to offer a discount if your event is run weekly. If you are looking to start up a regular activity, we may be able to offer you a couple of free sessions whilst your group establishes itself. If your event is held regularly, you will be issued with a key for easy access. We have a caretaker who lives next door and who can help you out should you need it.

Our hall measures 7.5 metres by 4 metres, has a wooden floor and the facility for all furniture to be easily moved to allow for a clear space. We have a small kitchen and toilets. Heating is by electric wall heaters and the space takes about 20 minutes to fully heat in the winter.  The chapel space is also available to use. It has pew seating for about 40.

If you choose hire with us, we will need to see sight of public liability insurance (which is usually very cheap and easily arranged with a phone call to your insurance company) and if your group involves working with children or vulnerable adults, we will also need to see sight of a current DBS check.
